Research
Maceration is rooted in Wabi Sabi — the Japanese philosophy that finds beauty in simplicity and imperfection. Before any design decision was made, I studied how luxury fragrance brands communicate prestige and how most of them get it wrong. Loud. Overcrowded. Trying too hard. Maceration needed the opposite. A brand that earns attention by demanding nothing.
Direction
The visual language runs on restraint. Muted colors, clean typography, generous white space. The logo icon draws from the Kintsugi bridge, the Japanese art of repairing with gold, finding beauty in what was once broken. Gentle curves, balanced forms, nothing forced. The mark feels as unhurried as the scent itself.
